| GAY MARRIAGE RULING IN CALIFORNIA |
GAY MARRIAGE IN CALIFORNIA: Note: You will not need todissolve your DP to marry the SAME person.
At last DOMA DIED and many thanks to the California Supreme Court for a job well done! Private Courts publicly supports Gay Marriage. All families deserve equal protetion under the law. In truth our civil law has absolutely nothing to do with religious teachings and any ideology, other than equality for all.
In California we are informed that most counties and cities will be issuing licenses 30 days after the date of Court Judgment and that should be on June 15th /16th, 2008.
We can help you to negotiate pre-nuptial agreements and provide referrals and answers to your questions.

| Dissolution of Domestic Partnerships |
CALIFORNIA STATE REGISTERED DOMESTIC PARTNERS ARE NOW REQUIRED, BY LAW, TO FILE FOR DISSOLUTION OF THEIR STATUS IN THE SUPERIOR COURT OF CALIFORNIA.

There are many loose ends that will require clarificcation and many such questions may result in disputes that could lead to litigation before answers will be law. For example, these come to mind: 1. What if I have a DP, I want to marry and now I want a prenup prior to marriage? What happens to the rights to community property that w acquired during the time of our Domestic partnership? 2. Can a prenuptial negate the accumulation of CP during the partnership period? 3. What will the Federal law do to help bi-national couples married in California - probably nothing until the passing of legislation in the legislature. (UNIFYING OF FAMILIES ACT)...more information soon.
Please email me with your questions so we can include them on this site.
