MARITAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS
Once you have settled your case at Private Courts™, your Mediator will draft a Marital Settlement Agreement, Parenting Plan, Support Agreement, Dissolution Agreement, as the case may be.
At Private Courts™ we take great pride in the quality of our work, including the master draftsmanship of our agreements. Each agreement is customized to reflect the Participants’ specific case, needs, tone and particular nuances of the mediation sessions preceding the settlement.
Once our clients receive the first draft of their Agreement, they are not expected to sign it without first obtaining a review from their separate representative, such as attorneys, CPA, Financial Advisor. Once your advisor/s have reviewed the agreement, and made their recommendations, we are able to negotiate the changes, until both sides are completely satisfied and comfortable with the document/s they are signing.
After you have signed in front of a Notary the documents will be ready for submission to Court, upon your instruction and will then be binding upon the Parties. The Judge, of course, has the last say, and in the unlikely event that anything is amiss, may reject the document. Hence, it is very important that the agreements conform to requirements of the law.
At Private Courts we usualy provide an advance estimate for your agreements and your fee will be pre-paid and a fixed amount. The cost depends on the extent of the issues involved. This is cost effective as it helps Parties to have certainty pertaining to the costs of their case, especially in divorce matters, where fthe division of property has the propensity for financial hardship.
